Online basketball play designer: draw and animate plays

Draw your play, run it as an animation and share it with your team or other coaches. The board runs right in your browser. There is no account to create, and we do not store anything you draw. Made for coaches in youth, AAU and travel basketball, and just as much for players who want to go through a play one more time.

How to use the play designer

  1. Draw

Set up your players and draw in cuts, passes, dribbles and screens. Split the play into individual steps.

  2. Animate

The animation then shows exactly who moves when.

  3. Share

Export the play as a PDF to print or as a video you can send straight to your team chat. Or share a link that opens exactly this play.

Digital instead of a magnetic board

A magnetic board or whiteboard shows where your players stand, but not how the play unfolds. And as soon as someone wipes it clean, the picture is gone. On the digital play designer, the play runs as often as needed, and your players can watch it again at home. Younger players in particular understand timing and spacing much faster through movement than through arrows.

More than a board: your playbook in the PRACTX app

The play designer here is made for a single play. In the PRACTX app it becomes a digital playbook that grows with your team. Your plays stay saved, go straight to your players and become part of your practice planning.

All your plays in one place

My Playbook holds every play you have drawn, including the ones not yet assigned to a team. Each team has its own playbook, where your drafts stay just for you until you publish them.

Straight to your team, not the group chat

You publish finished plays to your team and decide whether your players get a notification. New and changed plays are marked for them, so nobody takes the court with an old version.

Every player sees their job

Your players create a PDF of a play that highlights only their own number. The app explains terms like flare or pick and roll with a tap on the word. That way your players pick up the language of the game along the way.

In the gym and in your practice plan

At practice you show a play in landscape full screen, step by step. You plan it into your practice session just like a drill, so tactics are not something next to practice but part of it.

Your whole playbook as a PDF

Your plays become one document with a cover page and a table of contents, for example for preseason or for new players joining the team.
